An Introduction to Cash Flow Projections

All businesses need to know what money is coming in and out of the business, in this session we’ll show you how to estimate your first year in business.

You can use this in your business plan, to apply for funding or to reassure yourself if this is a good business idea or not. Your Business Plan is the story of your business in words, the cashflow tells the story in numbers – used together they present a complete picture of what your future plans are.

We’ll demonstrate ways of estimating what your sales will be and getting accurate costs for running your business. After the session, you will be able to create your own Cash Flow Projection using Business Gateway’s templates and ask live questions to a Business Gateway adviser.

By the end of this session, you’ll have the tools to:

• Predict an estimate of your sales
• Predict an estimate of your costs
• Work out the financial viability of your business
• Create a cash flow projection for your business, to use in your Business Plan
