Realising your potential: Support for women in business

Join our guests this International Women’s Day to explore the challenges and opportunities for women in business.

What to expect from this webinar

In recent years, the world has shifted towards a more equal climate in the workspace, but significant barriers still remain for women in business and the pandemic has brought about more challenges.

Finding your community and a network of support is vital, and this webinar, on International Women’s Day, will explore the issues faced by women including the unique barriers they encounter and the strategies which can be put in place to overcome them.

Champions of women in business, Carolyn Currie, Chief Executive of Women’s Enterprise Scotland, and Gail Macgregor, Dumfries & Galloway councillor and COSLA spokesperson for Environment and Economy highlight the challenges, explore the opportunities and set out tips for success.

This session will explore:

  • How the pandemic impacted female-led businesses and how we can reverse those trends
  • Why Scotland is a good place to be a woman in business
  • What resources are available for women in business
  • What some of the key skills and qualities that successful businesswomen possess are, and how these can be developed

This session will be held on GoToWebinar.
