Fife Investment Fund

The Fife Investment Fund provides interest-free repayable grants of up to £10,000 for Fife-based businesses that aim to invest in and grow their business or reduce their carbon emissions to reach net zero.

SME Development Grant

The SME Development Grant provides small non-repayable grants for small to medium-sized businesses in Fife to help with the costs of exhibiting at a trade show, upskilling their workforce, reducing carbon emissions and undertaking research, development and innovation. Agriculture businesses can also use the grant to support diversification.

Specialist Business Advice

The Specialist Business Advice programme provides businesses in Fife with free access to consultancy support across a range of topics and disciplines, including strategy, marketing, finance, procurement, employee engagement, energy efficiency and more.

Start-up Grant

Fife Council’s Start-Up Grant can provide individuals who intend to start a business in Fife or businesses that have started trading within the past 6 months with up to £500 towards the costs involved in starting to trade.

Business Loans Scotland

Business Loans Scotland is a consortium of Scottish local authorities providing loans ranging from £25,000 to £250,000 to eligible businesses on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Enterprise Hub Fife, Glenrothes

Enterprise Hub Fife is designed to provide enterprising individuals and start-ups with growth aspirations access to a unique facility which encourages collaboration, networking and business growth.

The Hub is home to:

  • Fully furnished, affordable and all-inclusive offices with high speed broadband and access to a full support network to help your business grow
  • An excellent hot desking environment for entrepreneurs on the move or to collaborate with like-minded

The Women's Business Centre

The Women's Business Centre is a website designed to support women at the pre-start and start-up through to growth stages of their business journey.

Operated by Women’s Enterprise Scotland, the Women's Business Centre website is free to access and offers dedicated, needs-based content on starting and growing a business, including stories, encouragement and top tips from leading business owners across Scotland.

Supplier Development Programme (SDP)

The Supplier Development Programme provides support through a range of free tender training, e-learning modules and Meet the Buyer events to help Scottish SMEs, social enterprises and third sector organisations in bidding for public sector opportunities.

Redundancy Support

Your local Business Gateway office can offer free support to any business considering making redundancies.

Our advisers can help you look at your business challenges and then help you make the next practical steps. Along with that we can introduce you to PACE – Partnership Action for Continuing Employment.
