Billie and Chris hit the right note

A Stirling business, which has been helped by Business Gateway, has become the entertainment of choice at numerous high profile events and functions just nine months after launching.

Rusty’s Travelling Piano Bar, which is the brainchild of event organiser, Billie Rowan, and her fiancé, musician and former Red Hot Chilli Piper member Chris Russell, provides live music and a bar service to its corporate clients from the inside of a renovated horsebox.

Billie said: “When I first came up with the idea for Rusty’s I went to Business Gateway Stirling for reassurance that it wasn’t a crazy idea! Our adviser loved the concept and put me in touch with the Prince’s Trust. I successfully pitched to them for the funding needed to renovate our horsebox.

“I also completed Business Gateway workshops on Tax and Finance and Digital Boost’s Digital Marketing Strategy seminar. I was transfixed throughout that seminar and immediately used the information to write a social media marketing plan that has helped increase our exposure.”
