About the business
Dalply Facades and Interiors is proud to be celebrating its tenth successful year in business, with director Patric Catterall calling it a ‘challenging and rewarding decade’. Founded in 2009, Dalply originally represented just one manufacturer, but as the business has grown so too have their number of suppliers and the extensive range of facades, interiors and insulation products they sell.
Dalply has become a nationwide brand and has worked on projects from Aberdeen all the way down to Brighton. Over the course of the past ten years, the work they have undertaken has included everything from self-build projects to hotels, schools, hospitals and retail outlets.
One not-so-secret element to their success lies in their commitment to safety, in particular fire safety, with their range of façade, wall and floor tiles rigorously tested to the highest possible standards.
Changing the way we engage with suppliers and trade with customers was becoming a real headache. Business Gateway helped us focus on company objectives and set out our financial strategy. Thanks to our local Business Gateway we are starting realise our business potential.
How Business Gateway has helped
Dalply has engaged with DigitalBoost, Scotland’s national digital business skills training programme, delivered by Business Gateway. Initially, the company received a Digital HealthCheck to assess its existing use of digital and social platforms. Dalply has subsequently been allocated DigitalBoost one-to-one support to help the company improve its social network and digital strategy, with a view to increasing sales.
What’s next?
2019 has already started well for Dalply, which has now expanded into the interiors market. The team cite their main ambition for the next ten years as bringing ever more innovative products to market.
These will include the highest quality non-combustible cladding and tiles, helping the company preserve and build on their impeccable ten-year track record for safety and customer service.
