About the business
Watsons Veggies was launched in March 2020 as a direct result of the coronavirus pandemic. Keen to help those who were self-isolating or unable to leave the house due to the virus, Watsons Veggies started non-contact deliveries to customers across Aberdeenshire. Customers can choose from a range of hand-picked and personalised fresh farm produce items and can order these online for delivery or use the contact-free click and collect service.
Since working with Business Gateway, we have a much better grasp on how to manage our business and help our customers who need additional support during this period.
How Business Gateway has helped
After achieving immediate success, Watsons Veggies started to struggle with the overwhelming demand it received from customers.
Seeking advice on how to better manage the logistics of the business, Watsons Veggies owners turned to Business Gateway and were then entered into the Early Stage Growth Service. This will ensure the business will be supported for the next 18 months as it continues to grow.
Since working with Business Gateway, Watsons Veggies has launched a new website which now offers customers an additional channel to place orders through and has helped to alleviate some of the strain that the business was initially under.
Keith Watson, Watsons Veggies, said, “After facing unprecedented demand for our goods when we launched our business, we felt that we needed help managing our processes to meet customer demand.
